This blog is all about the day to day things we do in our preschool class. It's main purpose is to show the parents snapshots of what their children are doing each day. It's also a great way for me to document and take notes about the kids' reactions to all the things we do in class. "Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you." - Dr. Seuss

Mother/Father's Day, A Few of Our Favorite Things, and Choice Time!
We read books about Mother’s & Father’s Day.
At Large Group:
We danced to several of Dr. Jean’s songs including: Go Bananas, Lettercise, Phonercise, Who Let the Letters Out?, and the Tooty Ta.
We played several large motor games including: What Time Is It, Mr. Fox? & Duck Duck Goose.
We read and sang several of our favorite Pete the Cat stories.
We acted out the story "The Three Little Pigs" with story board props and then colored our own copy of the story and read them to a friend.
At Small Group:
We went over our guesses about what animals we would see at the zoo and then wrote and illustrated a class book about our trip.
We did a science experiment with chalk. We dipped chalk in various water mixtures to see if/how it would affect the way it writes.
We used our play dough mats to practice our letters, shapes, and numbers.
At Choice Time:
We watched the Disney version of "The Three Little Pigs" and the kiddos compared it to the other versions we've read.
We went outside for choice time several times this week. We used the pictures we drew of each of the things we can play with outside to help with our planning and recall.
