Final Week of School, DQ Field Trip, Bee Keeper Visit, Our Favorite Things, Graduation, Farewell Friends!

The Final Week of School

· We read books about Kindergarten & Graduation.
We got each of the kiddos a copy of this story to read before their first day of school in the fall.

This book inspired some very interesting artwork.
 · At Large Group:
· We used story cards and individual story books to retell some of our favorite fairy tales. Then we watched the Disney Silly Symphony versions of the fairy tales and compared them to all the other versions we’ve read all year.
We printed out story books for the kiddos to take home and to practice reading.
The kiddos favorite was the Three Little Pigs.

· We read and sang several of our favorite Pete the Cat stories.

· We used our exercise cards to work our large motor muscles.
· At Small Group:
· After reading our fairy tale books to each other we colored them.
· We created a “Welcome” banner for next year’s preschool class (that I unfortunately did not get a picture of).
· On Our Field Trip:
· The kiddos had a blast at Dairy Queen. The manager came over and complimented us on how well behaved our group was. We thanked them for our yummy treat!

· Bee Keeper Visit:
· We had a visit from my Aunt who is a local bee keeper.
We read a book called “These Bees Count!”
We got to see a hive box, honeycombs, and a smoker. We got to try on beekeeper outfits and taste some honey.

· At Choice Time:
· We spent this last week playing will all our favorite things, helping pack things away, and playing outside as often as possible.

This was hilarious! They were seriously jamming!

It has truly been a blessing to work with this wonderful group of kiddos and parents. I'm really going to miss them!

Aren't these little graduation caps just adorable!?

Farewell Friends

It’s time to say goodbye.
Our year has come to an end.
We’ve made some special
memories with all our
preschool friends.

We’ve helped each other learn and grow
and change from day to day.
We hope that all the things we’ve learned
will help us along the way.

So it’s with happy memories
we all go out the door.
With great hope and expectations
for what next year holds in store.

We’re glad we were your teachers.
We’ve come to love you so.
We can’t believe the end is here.
We hate to see you go!

Remember all the fun we’ve had
and all the things we did.
But most of all remember
you’re a very special kid!

Love,
Miss Kendra & Miss Lorri
& Miss Cheryl, too!
